First printing: Eva Bednarova has created some beautiful, mystical paintings to illustrate these fairy tales. The pictorial endpapers are enhanced with a delicate open fan picture and the black cloth boards have gilt-stamped titles and a peacock on the front board. the book itself is very attractive but the dust jacket is poor with a tape repair to the back panel, other tears, and is price-clipped.
