1 Shaffer, Mary Ann and Barrows Annie The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
N. Y. The Dial Press 2008 978 0 385 34099 First Edition Near Fine Near Fine Hardcover
About fine first printing with the full number line including the 1, bound in sharp mottled sand boards, beige spine stamped in silver titles, map endpapers of the English Channel and Guernsey, Channel Islands, one very short and hard to discern closed tear to top of one page, I had to look hard to find it, the fine dust jacket with light edge creasing, else fine and now protected in a new, clear Brodart cover. This very charming novel is told in a series of letters which illuminate the lives of these diverse and heroic people and how they are transformed during the German Occupation of their island. I found this to be one of the best reads of 2008. .
